Yüksel has been awarded for the construction KING KHALID AIR BASE (KKAB), Saudi Arabia with the contract amount of $ 136 million by US Air Force Installation Contracting Agency. The Prime Contractor of the project is Gilbane Federal. This project represents a joint effort by the United States Air Force (USAF) and the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to provide the facilities necessary to support the modernization of the F-15SA aircraft at the King Khalid Airbase (KKAB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The work of this project includes demolition, airfield, site, roadway, parking, utilities and new and renovation facility construction for total construction area of 46,000 m2 work to support the Saudi F-15 Fleet Modernization program. Included in this work is the new King Khalid Training Center (KKTC), which will provide academic and hands-on training for F-15SA aircraft maintenance, within a campus type setting.
The project is envisaged to be completed in approximately 24 months.
