Murwani DamThe dam was built in the Murwani Valley 27 kilometers east of the town of Khulays and 100 kilometers northeast of the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and designed for flood control as well as feeding underground water sources. Impermeability in the 91 m high (from the foundation) rock-fill dam was achieved by using an asphalt-core. Client Ministry of Water and Electricity in Saudi Arabia Location S. Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş. has involved in the construction of 8 rock filled, 3 earth filled and 4 concrete major Dams & HEPPs of Turkey and Saudi Arabia having the total reservoir volume of 15,373 hm3. The total installed and the total annual electricity energy generation capacities of HEPPs undertaken by Yüksel are 2,421 MW and 6,606 GWh respectively. Altınkaya Dam and HEPP -one of the largest Dams and HEPPs of Turkey with 700 MW of installed capacity- is also a Yüksel commitment.
